| This is the 1st book I've read of yours. I am impressed with your writing. I was especially interested in the parts referring to the OKC bombing, having lived there when it happened.
I will be reading your other books. You have me hooked! |

| Met you in Marco |
| Carl Haeussler from Marco Island, FL |
 |
| I met you in Marco Island when you came to speak about your career in Law enforcement and your new career as a writer. I have now read all your books. You have a great writing style that makes it hard to put the book down before finishing it. I am greatly looking forward to seeing your stories come to film.
Maybe in an upcoming book, your character will find a need to come over to the West Coast (Marco/Naples)
Dinner is on me when you come back to Marco Island. |

| Just read your first book and thought it was very interesting. Thought I would read the books in order and have started on Shock Wave which seems to be equally as entertaining. Very good writing and lots of suspense to keep it interesting. |

| Jim, it was indeed a pleasure to meet you last Friday at the book signing. As John King said, it isn't often you have the opportunity to meet the man that can walk the walk. When you are in law enforcement you seem to anticipate certain things that you are going to do given the situation. That seems more realistic and it shows in your works. Thanks for the enjoyment. Look forward to seeing you again and having a few minutes to speak with you. |

| Although it is not my typical read, I thoroughly enjoyed Field of Fire. My sister talked me in to going to your book signing Vero Beach--glad I did. I am hooked...really enjoy your style. Escape Clause is next on my list then Burn Zone. |

| Just finished it! That's what being on vacation is all about - getting through a wildly entertaining adventure novel. Darker, and broader in geographic scope, than your other novels, but with a worthy main character and an excellently developed supporting cast. The South Florida and crime fighting details are as accurate as usual. Satisfying on all fronts. When are we seeing Alex again? |

| Thanks for a fresh new look at mysteries, with a hero that deals with real crimes. I know it's real because I live in South Florida. Keep up the great writing! |

| Shock Wave |
| Anthony from Dublin, Ireland |

| I',m only fourteen, and to be honest, I am very fussy about what kind of books I read. I have read book after book, and never came across an author really liked. My Mom found 'Shock Wave' on the seat beside her when she took a flight to Spain. Someone must have left it behind. I never really thought about reading it, until one day I got a bit bored! I'll have to admit, this book really quenched my thirst for a good read. I have been searching everywhere for 'Escape Clause', and I think I can get my hands on a copy (finally!) I can't wait to read it after reading the first chapter on this site! I have finally found an author I truly like, and I will be heartbroken if James stops his brilliant talent. 'Shock Wave' was a can't-put-down-book, and I bet, his other books will be aswell. James is the future of crime-fiction novels, and I cannot believe I havn't discovered him earlier! Thanks alot James! From Anthony Boyle, Dublin Ireland. |

| I love the sympathetic characterisation in your works, the way you're knowing but not cynical about human frailty. These books are original, witty, exciting and unputdownable. And how refreshing to have a hero who's thoroughly good but never self-righteous. Can't wait to read the next in the series! Thank you

| You really are the future of crime fiction! I can't believe I haven't discovered you earlier. Your pace and humor have soured me on a lot of the old standards I used to read.
Can't wait for the next.

| Hey Jim,
Just came across your work. Enjoyed the backstory piece and as a writer at work, your depiction of the Jim Hall mistaken identity had me laughing. Picked up "Walkng Money" and am impressed with what you've created. You certainly provide plenty of inspiration and set some standards to aspire to. Look forward to reading all your work.
Best,
Ron |
